The K-Tek Stingray Audio Bag For Sound Devices 664 is designed for audio recording in the field. The bag features a rigid internal frame that enables the bag to stand up on its own and protect the electronics within. The internal rigid frame is collapsible so that the bag can be more easily packed into a Pelican case. The front of the bag features a rigid exterior frame that enables the user to mount wireless receiver pouches or a battery distribution box.
The bag opens up completely on both sides to allow easy access to the side panels of the recorders. A set of six zippers on each side make it possible to keep the side panels closed while still being able to plug-in cables. An oval-shaped opening on the face of the bag allows for direct connection of audio cables into the recorder while it is within the bag. The bottom of the bag also opens to enable access to the rear of the devices. This makes it possible to connect cables from external wireless receivers and a battery distribution system. A removable clear cover on the top allows the operator to view the display while recording. For carrying, the bag includes two retractable handles and a shoulder strap.
The bag has a concave shape to leave a small gap between it and the operator’s body which makes it more comfortable to wear. The two side pouches include loops for storing receiver antennas, batteries, and small multi-tools. An elastic loop on the inside of the bag is designed to hold an NP-1 battery with battery cup to operate a battery distribution system.
