The RØDELink Newsshooter Kit from RØDE Microphones provides everything you need to start shooting video wirelessly with an XLR microphone, including a camera-mounted receiver and an XLR transmitter. It is an ENG wireless system that uses series II 2.4 GHz digital transmission and 128-bit encryption, it is able to constantly monitor and hop between frequencies to maintain the strongest possible signal level at a range of up to 100 meters* (over 100 yards).
The receiver features an OLED display with information on the level, battery status (RX & TX), mute, and channel selection. It can be mounted on a standard camera shoe mount, 3/8″ thread, or belt clip, and for added versatility, the shoe mount can be located in one of two positions.
The transmitter (TX-XLR) easily connects to XLR handheld presentation microphones as well as shotgun microphones and provides 48V phantom power. There is also a built-in 3.5mm input jack and a 3.5mm headphone output, or passes through jack, for monitoring.
